The Midot Covenant

 

We announce our support for the centrality of effectiveness and impact as an idea that will advance the Israeli Third Sector and help it flourish. We believe that effective NPOs (charities) and social investors can lead to better social outcomes.

 

As active and involved social investors, we fully intend to encourage NPOs to adopt high quality management standards based on measurements and data, and in accordance with predetermined objectives. When donating to an organization, we shall study how its objectives are formulated, the organization’s results and achievements, and its learning processes.

 

We believe that adopting effectiveness and impact as significant considerations on the part of social investors will make philanthropic activity more successful, will widen the circle of giving, and will bring about the change needed in Israeli society.
